Lo and behold, a myriad of people replying to this comment saying the same thing happened to them (all with Freesync monitors) and the fix for the time being, disable G-Sync. So, one trip to Google later, I found a really old LinusTechTips video where he was having the same issue and although his solution was also just disconnecting power, I saw that someone commented two weeks ago that this happened to them right after the Nvidia update. At this point I hadn't made the connection between graphics driver update and failing monitor. However, after another restart, half black screen again. I disconnected the power for 15 seconds or so, and that worked.

Important to note, the monitor was fully functional in BIOS, at the splash screen etc, even after several restarts, but as soon as Windows would load, half the screen just noped out. And for whatever reason, sometime after, I decide to restart to go tinker with RAM speeds in the BIOS, and after booting back to Windows, as soon as the login screen loaded, the right half of my monitor was black. Long story short, I update and enable G-Sync. So, today I got around to updating my graphics driver, and this latest update (as I'm sure most of you know) allows some Freesync monitors to work with G-Sync.
